Hello & Welcome!

Back to School Essentials : Teacher Edition

Back to School Essentials : Teacher Edition

It's that time of year again! Football, leggings, and cute scarves are all on the horizon! But first, back to school. For teachers, it's a bittersweet time of losing the freedom of summer, yet the excitement of seeing your kiddos is almost to much to handle! As I prepare to start school this week, I put together some of my teacher back-to-school essentials.

1) Work Clothes - or as I like to call them "My teacher clothes"

Next to swimsuits, dress pants are one of my least favorite items to shop for. Chinos, ankle cut, boot cut, wide leg - the options are endless and all of them seem to be made for someone not shaped like me. The good news is, last year I discovered Old Navy's Pixie Mid-Rise Ankle Pants and my work wardrobe is forever changed. I bought three different colors this year!

Another teacher wardrobe staple: jackets. Always dress in layers because nothing is more awkward than a teacher who is profusely sweating during their lesson. I personally love jean jackets because they literally go with everything.

Last but not least, shoes. I desperately want to be the teacher who can wear heels all day, but the reality is my feet end up hurting. So for me, flats are a must have.

2.  Planner

I could not function on a day to day basis without my planner! Planners were always a challenge for me because I am so picky.  The Erin Condren planners are perfect for teachers, not to mention adorable! They have everything you need and I highly recommend getting one! How cute is the cactus theme?!

3. Planner Accessories

What teacher doesn't love planner accessories?! These adorable pencils and planner accessories are from the Target $1 bin!

4. Headphones

Sometimes as a teacher, you need some quiet time. I always listen to music during my plan time. I recommend the Beats by Dre headphones. They are a little on the expensive side, but they are noise canceling, comfortable, and come in cute colors!

5. Water bottle

A water bottle is an absolute must for any teacher! The first week your going to be talking a lot, so make sure and have water handy! I love the Contigo brand that comes with a straw! I picked mine up at Walgreens!

I hope everyone enjoys their first week back!
